Welcome to the home page for the Cactus Cablers' Smocking Guild in Tucson, Arizona.

We are a group of women dedicated to "preserving and fostering the art of  smocking and related needlework for future generations through education, communication and quality workmanship."  We are a non-profit organization and have been a SAGA chapter since 1984. We currently have twenty five members.  We are proud to participate in the Wee Care program with University Medical Center

These adorable young ladies are wearing variations of smocked creations  from Australian Smocking and  Embroidery all dresses were made by their aunt, Linda Richards.  Clockwise from the top:  Amalie is wearing Morning Glory made in voile from issue #39 smocked with an adaptation of Gathering Rosebuds designed by Margaret Herzfeld, Allyce models a batiste variation of Gathering Rosebuds from issue #29 and Adeline shows off in Rosebud in batiste from issue #26 also designed by Margaret Herzfeld.
