In 1993 Cactus Cablers began holding a doll raffle each year as a way to raise money for our education fund and our Wee Care program. A porcelain doll is donated each year by Bea Wilson,  the mother of one of our members. Our members make and donate gorgeous clothes, accessories and  for the last three years a trunk to hold everything.    The doll is raffled at our annual holiday party the first weekend in December each year.   Our members can earn points and pay for their dues by making clothes and accessories for the doll or by selling tickets.  The raffles have been a huge success and EVERYONE wants to win the doll!
