We meet the third Wednesday of each month; from 10:00 a.m. until approximately 2:00 p.m. We have a new meeting place ~ St. Jude’s Anglican Church, 8245 E. Seneca St., Tucson, AZ 85715. We have a business meeting; a new and exciting program each month; a raffle - a chance to win cold, hard cash; show and share - see what everyone is doing and go home inspired; a mini-stitch lesson - a new stitch, a refresher tip or a new way to use an old favorite; a free gourmet luncheon provided by two of our members each month; add to all of the above lots of fun and friendship and get ready for a great day!!
We invite anyone with an interest in smocking and related needlework areas to come and see what we are all about. You are welcome to visit us three times before we ask that you join. Cactus Cablers is a non-profit organization. Local membership dues are $15.00 and you must also be a member of the Smocking Arts Guild of America since we are a local chapter of the larger organization. Please visit the SAGA website to learn about the many wonderful things and learning opportunities offered by them.
Cactus Cablers offers a unique way to pay your SAGA dues. We dress and raffle a porcelain doll each year to fund the Wee Care Project and by making clothes, accessories, etc. or selling tickets you can earn enough points to pay for all of your SAGA dues or just a portion it's up to you!
